Can I MOT a motorcycle on the VIN number?
This is a question we get asked regularly when people are registering imported motorcycles.
The answer is yes.
A motorcycle can usually be MOT tested using the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) before it has been issued with a UK registration number.
This can be useful during the DVLA registration process, particularly for imported motorcycles that have not yet been registered in the UK.
It's always worth speaking to your chosen MOT station beforehand, as not all testers deal with imported motorcycles on a regular basis.
