Did You Know The Yamaha XS650 Became A Custom Bike Legend
When Yamaha introduced the XS650 in 1968, few could have predicted the impact it would have on motorcycle culture.
Its parallel twin engine gave it a character that reminded many riders of the great British twins, while offering the reliability that Japanese motorcycles were becoming famous for.
Over the years the XS650 became one of the most popular motorcycles for custom builders. Chopper builders, café racer enthusiasts, bobber fans and restorers all embraced the model, helping keep thousands of them on the road long after production ended in 1985.
Today, the Yamaha XS650 remains one of the most modified and loved classic Japanese motorcycles ever built, with dedicated clubs and enthusiasts around the world still keeping the legend alive.
