The Motorcycle That Still Had Fuel In The Tank
Every so often a motorcycle arrives from America that looks like it was parked yesterday rather than decades ago.
The dust may be thick, the tyres may be flat and the battery long gone, but then you remove the fuel cap and discover there's still fuel sitting in the tank from years ago.
It makes you wonder what happened.
Did the owner intend to come back next weekend? Was a repair planned that never happened? Did life simply get in the way?
Many classic motorcycles don't become barn finds because of major failures. Quite often they were parked with every intention of being ridden again one day.
That's one of the things that makes these old machines so fascinating. Every bike has a story, and sometimes the clues are still there waiting to be discovered.
Have you ever bought a motorcycle that had clearly been parked with the intention of being used again?
