Yamaha RD350 Found With a Full Tank of Two-Stroke Mix

Most motorcycles that have been standing for years have an empty fuel tank, but every so often you lift the cap and discover it's still full.

That's usually the first clue that the bike wasn't abandoned because someone had given up on it. More often than not, it was parked with every intention of riding it again. Unfortunately, life had other plans.

Of course, decades-old two-stroke fuel isn't something you'd try to start an engine with, but it's a fascinating snapshot in time. It reminds you that one day, someone switched off that Yamaha RD350 expecting to be back the following weekend.

It's little discoveries like this that make importing and uncovering classic motorcycles so rewarding. Every bike has a story—sometimes you just have to look for the clues.

What's the most unusual thing you've found when opening a fuel tank on a classic motorcycle?
