Did You Know Triumph Built A 3-Cylinder Superbike Before Most Of The Competition
When the Triumph Trident T150 was launched in 1968, it was one of the most advanced motorcycles Britain had ever produced.
Powered by a 741cc three-cylinder engine, the Trident offered a unique blend of smoothness, performance and character that set it apart from the traditional British twins of the era.
At a time when most motorcycles were still using single-cylinder or twin-cylinder engines, Triumph was already offering riders a triple. The distinctive exhaust note and strong performance quickly earned the Trident a loyal following.
Although Japanese competition soon changed the market, the Triumph Trident remains one of the most important motorcycles in British motorcycling history and helped inspire the modern Triumph triples that riders enjoy today.
