The Motorcycle That Still Had The Keys
Every now and then a motorcycle arrives with a little extra piece of history attached to it.
Not a rare part. Not a valuable accessory.
Just the original keys still hanging in the ignition.
It might not sound like much, but when a bike has been parked away for 20, 30 or even 40 years, finding the original keys still with it often tells a story. It suggests the owner expected to ride it again one day. The bike wasn't abandoned. It was simply put away and life got in the way.
We've seen motorcycles arrive from the USA with faded key tags from long-closed dealerships, old motel keyrings, workshop labels and even handwritten notes attached to the keys.
Small details like these can make a project bike feel far more personal. They're little reminders that every classic motorcycle had a life before it became a barn find.
What's the most interesting thing you've ever found with an old motorcycle?
