The Temporary Repair That Lasted 20 Years
Every classic motorcycle owner knows how this story starts.
"I'll just do a temporary repair so I can use it this weekend."
A cable tie here.
A bit of wire there.
Maybe a fuel tap held together with hope and determination.
Then somehow that temporary fix survives one summer... then another... then another.
Twenty years later you're showing the bike to a friend and proudly pointing at the same repair while saying:
"I really should sort that properly one day."
The funny thing is that some of these emergency repairs seem to outlast the brand-new parts that replace them!
What's the longest-serving temporary repair you've ever had on a motorcycle?
Be honest... we're among friends here. 😄
