Triumph Daytona T100R 500cc vs BSA A65 Lightning 650cc

Two great British motorcycles from the golden age of motorcycling.

The Triumph Daytona T100R earned a reputation as a lively and capable sporting machine. With its 500cc parallel twin engine, sharp handling and racing heritage, it became a favourite among riders looking for performance in a lightweight package.

The BSA A65 Lightning offered more capacity and plenty of torque from its 650cc twin. Stylish, fast and comfortable, it became one of BSA's most successful motorcycles and remains a popular classic today.

Both machines represent a time when British manufacturers dominated motorcycle exports around the world. Each has its own loyal following and both continue to attract enthusiasts more than half a century later.

The Triumph is often praised for its agility and sporting character. The BSA is remembered for its strong performance and effortless road manners.

If you could only keep one in your garage, would you choose the Triumph Daytona T100R 500cc or the BSA A65 Lightning 650cc?
