Produced only around 1964–1965, the BSA Lightning Rocket (A65R) was a tuned-up variant of the A65R with twin Amal carbs, high-compression pistons, optional close-ratio gearbox, and distinctive styling elements aimed at the US performance market. It remains rare and collectible.

Notes: The A65R Lightning Rocket is extraordinarily rare. UK-specific sales data is limited, so values are set using both UK results and select high-end international auction precedents converted carefully to GBP for context.
In the UK, a presentable BSA Lightning Rocket A65R typically sells for £6,500–£9,500, with restored matching-numbers machines reaching £10k–£13k or more. Project or incomplete examples range between £3.5k–£5.5k. Rarity and authenticity are the dominant value levers. High-end international bids suggest even greater collector enthusiasm.
