The Suzuki GT550 (“Indy”) was introduced in 1972 as the mid-range model in Suzuki’s air-cooled three-cylinder two-stroke line-up. It offered improved brakes, performance, and styling over the GT380 (Sebring), while offering many of the GT750 (Le Mans) features in a lighter, more agile package. UK buyers now prize well-presented or restored examples, and early models with "easy-start" and dual discs are especially collectible.

Notes: Early models (1972–’73) command a premium due to dual brakes and “Indy” trim. Later examples, while similar mechanically, tend to be slightly less desirable. Project pricing is conservative, based on repair-ready listings and valuations.
In the UK, early GT550 “Indy” machines trade around £4.8k–£6k in rider condition and up to ~£8.5k restored. Later models sit slightly lower. Project items start around ~£2.5k depending on condition. These values reflect the 2025 UK auction landscape.
